Keck's Store: Sugar Grove Supply Company
In 1893, Will E. Keck and a few others formed the Sugar Grove Supply Company at 221 Main Street. Eventually, Will bought the others owners out and became the sole owner.
The building burned down around 1918 and was later rebuilt on the same site in brick.
His son W.R. “Spiv” Keck took over the store, and it was known as Keck’s Store. It was a grocery and hardware store and the only retail business in town for many years. A one-story addition was built in 1948. Mr. Keck retired and sold the business in 1980.
