The Wooden Shoe Restaurant and Palaro Motel were built in 1954 by Paul and Laura Geihoh. It was located at Galena Boulevard and Illinois Route 47 on the northeast corner.
The new Sugar Grove Municipal Center was constructed in 1991-1992 on the southeast corner of Route 30 and Municipal Drive. It replaces the former location in the old Sugar Grove Elementary School located on Main Street.
